Microsoft to exhibit touch screen for any surface


Named as omnitouch, Microsoft exhibited, a wearable mechanism that will allow multitouch input on any surface - as described on the Microsoft Research page.
Omnitouch turns any surface around you into a touch interface. The technology uses a combination of a projector (laser based pico projector) and a camera that can sense depth and is build to work in a short range and is produced by primesense.
